W centrum węgierskiej stolicy podjęliśmy się zaprojektowania wnętrz starej fabryki czekolady na hotelowe wnętrza. Pierwszym i najważniejszym krokiem w całym procesie projektowym było określenie głównych wartości tej historycznej zabudowy, a następnie zaakcentowanie tych cech. Centralnym punktem, na który odwiedzających naprowadza światło i gradient w posadzce, jest hotelowa recepcja połączona z barem. Otaczają ją stonowane, kameralne przestrzenie wypełnione roślinnością, a także akcenty w kolorze butelkowej zieleni i jodełka francuska na posadzce. Restauracja kontynuuje wykorzystane w lobby materiały, klimat i formy, jednak jest przykryta lekką, szklaną konstrukcją. W pokojach hotelowych zdecydowaliśmy się na nienachalną kolorystykę z delikatnym akcentem przygaszonej czerwieni nawiązującej do stali cortenowskiej. Jako spajający element wszystkich przestrzeni postawiliśmy na nieoczywiste, rdzenne wzory na ścianach.

Arrangement of the interior of the hotel

We have undertaken to redesign the old chocolate factory interiors into the hotel in the centre of the Hungarian capital. The first and most crucial step in the entire design process was to identify the core values of this historic building and then to emphasise these features. The reception area of the hotel along with the bar is the focal point, where visitors are guided by the light and the gradient in the floor. Around the reception, there are cosy, plant-filled zones, visible bottle green accents, and French herringbone on the floor. The materials used in the restaurant, as well as the overall atmosphere and forms of this place, are a kind of continuation of ideas employed in the lobby, yet it is covered with a light, glass structure. When it comes to the hotel rooms, we have chosen an unobtrusive, subtle colour scheme with a gentle touch of subdued red, alluding to corten steel. We have decided to focus on inapparent, unique ethnic patterns on the walls.
